Franklin Pierce University's trustees have voted to hold tuition steady for the second time in three years. Tuition has been set at $28,250 for the 2012-2013 academic year. Other costs haven't been set, but the total cost this year was about $40,000 with room and board and fees included. At the University of New Hampshire, the total cost for instate students, including room and board, will increase 6 percent, to just over $26,000 for the next academic year. At Dartmouth College, undergraduate tuition, room, board and fees for the coming academic year will be $58,000, a 4.8 percent increase. Dartmouth College will both provide free tuition and eliminate loans from financial aid packages for students with family incomes of $100,000 a year or less.
