Franklin & Seidelmann Partners with Apex Radiology.

Expands Subspecialty Interpretation Capabilities with General Radiology

CLEVELAND -- Franklin & Seidelmann Subspecialty Radiology announces the extension of its client service offering as a result of its new partnership with Apex Radiology, a provider of general and night time teleradiology services. This new agreement allows Franklin & Seidelmann to more fully serve and meet the demands of its imaging center, hospital, and radiology group clients by providing subspecialty expertise through the Franklin & Seidelmann network and general radiology interpretations through Apex Radiology.

Franklin & Seidelmann will utilize Apex Radiology to provide general and night time radiology interpretations from modalities such as x-ray, ultrasound, and CT for some of its clients. Additionally, Franklin & Seidelmann will provide subspecialty expertise for some Apex radiology clients.

"It's a win-win relationship for both of our companies," explained Scott Seidelmann, the president and chief operating officer of Franklin & Seidelmann. "Franklin & Seidelmann is now able to provide general radiology services to clients without taking our focus off of what we do best - subspecialty radiology, and Apex clients now have access to some of the best subspecialty radiologists in the country."

The F&S network of more than 30 subspecialty radiologists, who combined are licensed in 50 states, includes board certified musculoskeletal, body, and cardiovascular specialists, and neuroradiologists with Certificates of Added Qualification. F&S radiologists have advanced training in 3.0T/1.5T MRI, MDCT, and PET/CT. F&S uses a sophisticated teleradiology platform to distribute reports quickly and securely to clients.

"This partnership is a very natural fit for both Apex and Franklin & Seidelmann. By leveraging our mature networks and depth of radiology experience, we allow both organizations to stay focused on our core businesses while offering unparalleled product diversity and expertise to our clients," said Wade Rome, the president and chief executive officer of Apex Radiology.

Clients will deal with their primary radiology interpretation provider for all of their report and consultation needs. The relationship between Franklin & Seidelmann and Apex will be seamless to the client. In order to distribute images and reports between the two companies' teleradiology platforms, a system integration will be completed by January 1, 2007.
