Frank Warren Bourman (1934-2008).
Dancer, ballet master, and director, Frank Bourman died in May. Bourman, who also composed and choreographed original works, founded both the Union City Ballet in NJ and The Dancer's Place in Minneapolis, where he was co-artistic director for four years. Engaged by many companies and schools on a variety of levels from dancer to artistic director, including a period as ballet master and later associate artistic director for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, he received both the Gubernatorial Award from the Governor of New Jersey for promoting arts and performance, and the Elliot Norton Award, Massachusetts' highest award for artistic achievement.
