Franchisee membership program continues to grow.

Since January, 1-800-Got Junk, Candy Bouquet, International Center for Entrepreneurial Development (ICED), (Kwik Kopy, Kwik Kopy Business Centers, Copy Club, American Wholesale Thermographers, Franklin's, Ink Well, Parcel Plus and Women's Health Boutique), Children's Orchard, KidzArt, Wing Zone and Young Rembrandts have become participating members of IFA's System-Wide Membership Program. To date, there are 6,363 franchisees affiliated with 57 IFA-member companies enrolled in the program. Franchise systems can now enroll their franchisees as members of IFA at no cost.

Membership can be offered at no additional dues for the franchisor or franchisee because all membership services are delivered electronically. Franchisees may also elect to become Subscribing Members, paying $100 annual dues to receive all services in hard copy by mail.

Under the program, membership benefits for franchisees include electronic versions of Franchising World, IFA Insider, Franchise News Briefs and Franchise-e News, plus access to IFA Web communities. Franchisee members will also receive notifications about Franchise Business Network meetings held in 20-plus cities around the country and about other IFA events and can attend at IFA member rates.

There are two enrollment options. IFA member companies can forward a list of franchisees including name, corporate name, address, phone, fax and e-mail addressed to the association by e-mail to IFA Dir. Of Development and Member Services Paul

Rocchio will automatically enroll those franchisees in the IFA membership, send a welcome message acknowledging that their system has enrolled them and describe membership benefits they will receive. Franchisees who desire to opt out may do so at any time.

The second option, if preferred, is to call Rocchio at 202-662-0790 and ask for a System-Wide Membership enrollment kit. IFA will e-mail everything necessary to enroll, including draft e-mails for franchisors to send to franchisees to encourage them to enroll directly. They will then be instructed to visit the IFA Web site to sign up as members.
