Franchise deal Miami nice, Becks.
I'M with Will Smith and Becks all the way - Miami, my second home!
Rapper turned Hollywood megastar Smith once stormed the charts with a song about my favourite holiday haunt and now Becks is on his way, too. And there was me thinking I was the biggest thing to hit Miami since Crockett and Tubbs.
Brand Beckham took hold on the west coast after David quit Real Madrid for the LA Galaxy in 2007.
Part of that deal entitled him to buy an MLS franchise at a discount and I reckon his decision to choose east coast Miami is a masterstroke.
Influx I've spent a good deal of time there over the past 10 years and I'm convinced Becks can really make a success of it.
Many would have you believe Miami is full of ex-pat Cubans, but it's a truly cosmopolitan city.
In the last 15 years,Argentinians, Colombians, Brazilians and Dominicans have all flocked to Miami - so little wonder it's now known as the 'Unofficial Capital of Central and South America'.
This influx of people from long-standing football-playing nations makes Miami a great spot for Becks to work his magic.
Whenever Becks is involved you have a hell of a chance because he's one helluva draw.
But my advice would be to bring in as much talent as he can from Central and South America.
That'll keep those ex-pats coming back week after week for sure.
