France today: Cyrlight set to face `real test'.

Byline: Desmond Stoneham

CYRLIGHT takes on some of France's best hurdlers in the Group 3 Prix Hypothese at Auteuil this afternoon, writes Desmond Stoneham.

The five-year-old was unbeaten in ten races until going down over hurdles to Maia Eria in November.

Cyrlight was given a rest before rejoining Arnaud Chaille-Chaille's stable two months ago and has been pleasing his connections since.

Racing manager Herve Barjot said yesterday: "Cyrlight is very well but not fully wound up. This will be a real test as we're taking on some very good horses."

Among Cyrlight's rivals are Grande Haya, Great Love and Ennemi d'Etat, who finished in that order in the Group 1 Grand Prix d'Automne at Auteuil in November.
