France faces beef ban war.

THE European Parliament could pull out of France before the end of the year unless it lifts the ban on British beef.

The Parliament's Vice President, British Labour MEP David Martin wants to stop Euro MPs dividing their time between Brussels and the French town of Strasbourg.

France last week ignored a demand from the European Commission to lift the beef ban and could now face a hefty fine.

Mr Martin said: "It is time the French realised Europe is not only being run for their benefit."

MEPs are expected to back the plan when it is proposed in October.
