France : HONEYWELL AEROSPACE inks 5-year contract to support French Navys fleet of Dassault Falcon Guardian surveillance airplanes.

Honeywell Aerospace has inked a 5-year contract for supporting the French Navys fleet of Dassault Falcon Guardian surveillance airplanes based in Tahiti.

As per the contract, Honeywell will be responsible to supply parts, repair and overhaul services and engineering support for the fleets Honeywell ATF3 turbofan engines.

To address French Navys requirements, Honeywell will be working in collaboration with Sabena Technics, the primary maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider.

Honeywell will be offering MRO services on the engine at its Sky Harbor facility in Phoenix, Arizona, allowing the French Navy to maintain the capabilities of its Falcon Guardian fleet by keeping the legacy engine operational.

The Falcon Guardian launched in the early 1980s, is a twin-engine version of the Falcon 20, specially adapted for maritime missions including surveillance and search and rescue.

Apart from the Honeywell ATF3 engine, the airplane even features Honeywells Inertial Reference Unit, control box and Navigation Display Unit.
