France : CNAV offers EUR5M contract to CGI GROUP.

Following an invitation for bids in 2012, to upgrade its information system, the Caisse nationale d'assurance vieillesse (CNAV) has chosen a major provider of information technology and business process services, CGI Group Inc., to help enhance its pension information system.

The contract, which is expected to reach a total of EUR 5 million, is for one year and can be renewed twice, for a total of 36 months.

CGI will help CNAV to improve service to pensioners and enable the fast adaptation of the system to regulatory changes.

The new system will boost the modularity of the core CNAV information system (career management, pension calculation, pension payments) in order to ensure more effective implementation of the frequent regulatory changes to the pension plan, while continuing to provide a well-organized service offer.

The upgrade also incorporates a new career management approach that consolidates risk control tools.
