Fr. Thomas J. Euteneuer, president of the Catholic antiabortion group Human Life International, has criticized the Georgetown University Law Center for creating an endowed chair in honor of Jesuit Fr. Robert F. Drinan. Euteneuer said that Drinan supported abortion rights during his 10 years as a Massachusetts congressman. "Referring to Fr. Drinan as a human rights hero is like calling Attila the Hun a diplomat," Euteneuer said in a news release. Georgetown, a Jesuit university in Washington, announced the school's new chair Oct. 23. Drinan is a columnist for NCR.
