Foushee finishes 72nd at Amateur.

SEATTLE - Former Oregon golfer Zach Foushee shot a 7-over-par 79 in the final round to finish tied for 72nd place at the Pacific Coast Amateur Championship on Friday at Seattle Golf Club.

Foushee finished at 26-over-par 314 for the tournament, which had 84 participants by the final round.

William Zalatoris of Plano, Texas, shot an even-par 72 to win the title on the second playoff hole over Nahum Mendoza of San Diego.

Zalatoris and Mendoza each finished at 3-under 285 for the tournament, two strokes ahead of Ryann Ree of Redondo Beach, Calif., and KK Limbhasut of Bangkok.

Snelling moves on in Junior Olympics hurdles

SACRAMENTO - Clara Snelling of Roosevelt Middle School and Emerald Valley Track Club made the finals in the girls 11-12 80-meter hurdles at the USATF Junior Olympics at Hornet Stadium on Friday.

Snelling finished in 12.89 seconds and will run in Sunday's final.
