Four killed, 30 injured in Swat suicide blast

ISLAMABAD (PAN): Three militiamen and a cop were killed and 3o policemen injured in a suicide blast on Thursday early morning in a police headquarters in Swat valley of NWFP in Pakistan.

Delawar Khan, Swat police chief told Pajhwok Afghan News on Thursday that a suicide attacker hit the police headquarters with his explosive-laden truck where the house of a SHO was located as well.

He added three militia guards and one policeman were killed while 30 other police wounded.

Abdul Majeed an eyewitness told Pajhwok Afghan News on the phone that the blast was so strong that the police headquarters and the house SHO was completely destroyed.

He said the condition of six wounded was also critical.

He added the attacker fired two rockets before launching the suicide attack with a vain.

He said nearby shops, a hotel and a school building were also severely damaged due to the blast.
