Four agencies join WiredRed's customer list.

WiredRed(TM), a provider of secure instant messaging (IM) and enterprise real-time communications software, has announced that four federal agencies recently purchased e/pop(R) for its secure, IM capabilities.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the National Institute of Health (NIH) chose e/pop for its extensive set of security options, centralized administration capabilities and ability to instantly send customized, high priority messages. The four federal agencies join the Department of Labor (DOL), several military installations and federal courts, on WiredRed's list of customers in the public sector.

e/pop provides these agencies with the ability to send critical notifications instantaneously in real-time to personnel located in geographically dispersed offices about impending emergencies, important meeting notices and other memoranda. It offers an extensive set of security options, which includes RC4, DES, triple DES, AES, & RSA that prevents spoofing and eavesdropping to ensure the integrity of the messaging system. In addition, management can take advantage of message auditing capabilities, rich text formatting, sound options and control on-screen placement so that these messages cannot be ignored.

According to Allen Drennan, president and CEO at WiredRed, the growing list of government customers is an indication of the overall acceptance of enterprise IM as a secure, urgent message delivery system.

"State and federal agencies are ideal candidates for our secure, instant messaging and real time communications technologies," said Drennan. "e/pop enables these government agencies, which may have thousands of employees throughout the U.S., to manage the IM platform from a central location. Because the presence system automatically integrates with their internal directory service, critical information can be delivered immediately throughout the entire organization, or to defined groups and offices instantly."

"With optional intrusive messages, auditing trails with delivery confirmations and IT control over message delivery with sounds e/pop IM provides instant, verifiable communications of critical information," added Drennan.

WiredRed Software is the leader of secure instant messaging and enterprise real-time communications software. WiredRed's Real-Time Routing Architecture, a secure, two-way communication platform, provides the foundation for the company's flagship product, e/pop, and its e/pop Real-Time SDK. The company licenses its software to corporate IT organizations and an expanding network of business partners.
