Foster's Brewing sees sales drop

Foster's Brewing Group Ltd. reported a narrow loss for the fiscal year ended June 30, as the company's operating profit more than doubled.

Foster's posted a net loss of $34.4 million, compared to a year-earlier drop deficit of $1.01 billion. Operating profit rose to $187.1 million from $83 million a year ago; however, that gain was offset by a loss of $221 million.

Overall sales fell 32 percent to $8.2 million from $12.1 million last year.
