Aluminum Foundries Foseco has been well known in the melt treatment area of the aluminum foundry for many years. Our current focus on hydrogen sensing and process control, rotary degassing, flux injection, crucibles, highly insulating launders and ladle linings, filtration, direct pouring and environmentally friendly fluxes continues this tradition of innovation and service to the industry.

Iron Foundries--Foseco's on-going innovation in the application and technology of feeding systems, filtration, molten metal transfer and metal treatment has focused on opportunities to improve iron foundry performance. Today, Foseco also provides direct pour technology, stopper rods and nozzle systems, high performance mold and core coatings, and environmentally friendly mold and core binders to the list of high-performance capabilities our customers can employ.

Steel Foundries--In the steel foundry industry, Foseco is nearly synonymous with yield and quality improvements. Our ladle lining systems, stopper rods and nozzle systems, riser sleeves, filters, binders, and coatings are industry leaders. The application of filtration and direct pour technology to steel foundry practice has already shown the tremendous value that is available to foundries that adopt this practice.

Refractory Products--As part of the Vesuvius corporate family, Foseco's offering now includes refractory products for melting and metal transfer applications.


U.S.-based product development facilities include computer simulation, water modeling, pilot plant capabilities, high temperature testing and hot modulus of rupture testing of refractories.


Foseco quality management systems are registered to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and Ford Q1 and comply to OHSAS 18001.
