Forty-Niners strike it rich!
The Forty-Niners - 49 regulars at Cardiff'sEly Conservative Club - collected a winning cheque for pounds 2,436.
Their winnings were also boosted by an extra pounds 10 for matching three numbers.
And, guess what? When their miniwindfall was divided equally between all 49, they each collected... pounds 49 and a few pence.
``It was uncanny the way it worked out,'' said club steward and syndicate leader Gwyn Jeans.
``We enter 24 lines for the Saturday and Wednesday draws - and keep the oddpound for the roll-overs. It's a bit of fun in the club.
``When we win small prizes we put it into a kitty for Christmas, but this time we agreed we should share out the winnings straight away. We are all pretty chuffed.''
NUMBER'S UP Some of the Forty-Niners celebrate receiving their biggest win to date... pounds 49 each in the Lotto draw.
