Fortress Gold Group Announces New "Home Storage Gold IRA".

New account option for investors seeking more protection and greater control over their retirement.

SHERMAN OAKS, Calif., July 9, 2015 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Fortress Gold Group, one of the top precious metals firms in America, announced today that the company has expanded its catalog to include a new type of Individual Retirement Account that allows investors to not only own gold, but to store that gold in their home, local bank safety deposit box, or other location of their choosing.

The Home Storage Gold IRA, sometimes referred to as a "Self Storage" or "Checkbook IRA", is a previously little-known type of retirement account that has been growing in popularity in recent years. It features all of the tax advantages of a traditional IRA, but instead of stocks or paper assets, investors can own gold and silver and take physical possession of their metals.

There are specific guidelines that investors need to follow to ensure compliance. Only certain coins are eligible to be included and a third-party custodian is required to manage the IRA. However, once the Self-Directed IRA and LLC are established, the owner may purchase metals and have them delivered.

Since the economic crisis of 2008 and the recent "bank holiday" in Greece, more investors have become cautious about keeping their money in the bank or stock market and have sought greater protection for their savings that traditional retirement accounts don't offer.

Morgan Steckler, Fortress Gold Group's Director of Sales, said that the new account option was created due to increasing demand. "When I talk to investors, they have a lot of concerns about the economy. They remember what it was like in '08 and they're worried that when the next crisis hits, it will be even worse," said Steckler. "They'll either lose everything or the banks will close and they won't have access to their currency. That's what makes the Home Storage Gold and Silver IRA a great solution. It's the only type of tax-deferred retirement account that is completely protected from both market crashes and bank closures and it's the only option that gives the owner total control with 24hr access."

The set-up process requires the creation of an LLC, through which owners are able to purchase gold, real estate, and other assets as part of their tax-deferred IRA. The company also continues to offer the traditional gold IRA, where precious metals are stored in a third-party private depository.

Fortress Gold Group focuses on educating clients so that they can feel empowered to make their own informed decisions. The company's commitment to education, compliance, and transparency has led it to become one of the leading precious metals firms in America.
