According to a new survey carried out by Forrester Research, online advertisers will have to deploy campaigns that mirror consumer behaviour through multiple devices.
The survey of 31 large 'clicks-and-mortar' companies, 14 dot.coms and 28 online media suppliers indicated that companies will have to take into account the emergence of mobile phones and TV set top boxes when planning advertising space in the future. It also pointed towards an increased cooperation between different departments when it comes to communications, direct marketing, sales and customer service.
The report is entitled 'Rewriting Online Ads' and is available from Forrester Research.
