Former PepsiCo exec is new president of Guinness Import.

Gary S. Matthews has been appointed as president of the Guinness Import Co. of Stamford, CT. Prior to joining Guinness, Matthews was vice president of marketing at PepsiCo, leading the development of a new food retail venture. While at Pepsi, he also served as vice president of corporate strategic planning and as a vice president of marketing in their alcoholic beverage portfolio, marketing an international portfolio of wines and spirits in the U.S.A. Previously he had worked in consultancy at McKinsey & Co. and brand management at Procter & Gamble. He holds a BA from Princeton and an MBA from Harvard University.
