Forest Freed transfer deal.

SCOTLAND B striker Dougie Freedman has finally joined Nottingham Forest.

His on-off pounds 950,000 move from Wolves was settled yesterday and he said: "I wanted to come here all along. The delay was only a contractual thing at Wolves.

"I wanted to get in the Premiership again quickly but things didn't quite work out at Wolves last season. I hope they go up this season, though."

Freedman joined Wolves in October for pounds 800,000 and was their top scorer with 12 goals before falling out of favour with boss Mark McGhee.

He'll now replace Kevin Campbell who left Forest for Turkey. Former Celtic striker Pierre van Hooijdonk is still refusing to return to the club after the summer, saying they're not ambitious enough.
