Amman, Oct. 9 (Petra)--Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on Tuesday discussed with member of the German Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee Andreas Schockenhoff, the latest developments in the Middle East, mainly the Syrian crisis.

The two sides also reviewed Jordanian-German ties and stressed the need to build on what has been achieved in various fields.

Talks also covered the situation in Syria and its humanitarian impact on Jordan as the Kingdom is hosting a growing number of Syrian refugees and providing them with services despite its difficult economic situation.

Judeh expressed Jordan's appreciation of Germany's continued support to the Kingdom in various fields.

Schockenhoff said his country valued Jordan's efforts to host Syrian refugees as well as burden the Kingdom is shouldering due to the presence of thousands of displaced Syrians on its territory.
