Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F), a United States-based automaker, has launched its new Ranger at the 2018 North American International Auto Show.

The model features a high-strength steel frame with direct-mounted steel bumpers, front and rear and Dana AdvanTek independent front and solid rear axles. It is available with a choice of two and four wheel drive and an electronic-locking rear axle. Both the XLT and Lariat trim levels come standard with features like lane keeping assist, auto emergency braking, reverse sensing system, and blind spot information system with trailer coverage. The Lariat also includes adaptive cruise control and pedestrian detection as standard. It is to be equipped with Ford's 2.3-litre EcoBoost four-cylinder turbo engine.

The automaker is to commence production of the Ranger in late 2018 at its Michigan Assembly Plant before rolling the truck out in early 2019.
