Football: Mayhem as Millwall fans invade; MILLWALL 1 BOURNEMOUTH 2.

REFEREE Scott Mathieson took the players off as hundreds of fans invaded the pitch after Jimmy Glass pulled off a magnificent save to deny Millwall sub Steven Reid two minutes from time.

Before returning Mathieson told the players he would blow the final whistle as soon as the corner was taken so they could run for safety. But keeper Glass was bowled over as the fans poured on again at the final whistle, which came one and a half minutes early.

Stewards prevented fans from pulling down one of the goal-frames, but Millwall defender Kenny Brown was stripped down to a jockstrap.

Tony Witter marred his final Millwall game by heading into his own goal before Kim Grant equalised from the penalty spot with his tenth goal of the season.

Mark Stein plundered the winner for Bournemouth by firing a Jason Blissett pass past Nigel Spink a minute before half-time.
