Football: Kev not for Oslo.

KEVIN Doherty has turned down the chance to go to Norway on trial.

After initial interest from Waterford and Bohemians, Doherty is still trying to pick up a new club after being transfer-listed by Shelbourne.

The Dublin-born centre-half wants to remain at a full-time outfit.

However Doherty has decided not to take up an invitation to train with FC Lyn Oslo.

Meanwhile, several other players on Shels' transfer-list are still trying to find clubs.

It is still possible that Ger Rowe could move to St Pat's on loan but a proposed move back to Bray Wanderers for Thomas Morgan appears to be off.

Alan McDermott is currently with Newry Town while Ger McCarthy is still seeking a new club.
