Football: Hughes, are you Kidding?; FOOTBALL ROUND-UP.

WEST BROM'S pounds 5m-rated hitman Lee Hughes failed to mark his first game in the shop window as KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS grabbed a shock 2-1 win.

Hughes, transfer-listed by Albion just 24-hours earlier after rejecting a new contract, did little to attract buyers.

The 25-year-old hot-shot, Albion's top marksman for the last three seasons, always struggled against a determined Harriers defence.

The Third Division outfit went ahead through Andy Ducros ... but it was 1-1 just five minutes later when Michael Appleton found the target before Tony Bird cracked the second-half winner.

SHREWSBURY'S friendly was marred by crowd trouble in a clash with near neighbours WOLVES.

Disturbances broke out just before half time when Wolves fans, situated in the home end, confronted Town supporters.

Referee Rob Lewis led both teams off three minutes before the scheduled half-time whistle.

On the pitch Wolves strolled to an easy 2-0 win

Mark Kennedy, Wolves most expensive signing at pounds 2m crossed for both goals, first for French trialist David Suarez and then Paul Butler.

Harry Kewell was back to something like his livewire best as touring LEEDS bashed Swedish part-timers KUNGSBACKA 6-0.

The Aussie winger was brought down in the 15th minute and Alan Smith scored the first of his two goals from the penalty spot.

Kewell scored a glorious solo lobbed goal in the 56th minute and Leeds' other marksmen were subs Robbie Keane (2) and Jason Wilcox.

QPR turned over their lofty west London neighbours CHELSEA 3-1.
