Byline: By Neil Cameron

DIDIER AGATHE last night revealed he was so close to signing for Juventus, he even bought a house in Turin.

And the Celtic ace insisted former boss Martin O'Neill pulled the plug on a dream move to Valencia at the last minute two years ago.

Speaking in his birthplace in the Reunion Islands, Agathe also revealed the new season will be his last at Parkhead.

The wing-back, bought for pounds 50,000 from Hibs, said: 'I have a year left of my contract but I'm moved by a desire to discover new horizons.

'That opportunity was there for me on two or three occasions but Celtic changed their mind at the last minute.

'There was a deal done to take me to Valencia and as for Juventus, I actually organised my house move.

'Even more recently there was an interesting proposition from Crystal Palace.'

Agathe is still struggling to recover from blowing the title on the last day of the season.

He said: 'It was awful to see so many people crying. For Celtic fans, it is more than just a club and we let them down
