Football: BOSS HEAD-BUTTS MAY.

BURNLEY boss Stan Ternent could face criminal charges after head-butting centre-back David May at the club's training ground. The FA may also take action should former Manchester United defender May make a complaint about the incident, which happened on Thursday.

Ternent, whose side face Coventry today, had to be pulled away from May, who did not retaliate.

The fiery Ternent is no stranger to controversy, proudly recounting another head-butting incident in his autobiography Stan The Man.

He also famously nutted striker Ron Futcher while assistant manager at Bradford.

Whether he gets away with this latest incident depends on May.
