Football Spy: Heskey strikes a new deal.

EMILE HESKEY has accepted the offer of a new contract designed to keep him at Birmingham City for five more years.

The striker has impressed manager Steve Bruce since joining from Liverpool for pounds 6.25million a year ago and the Blues are keen to tie down his future.

Heskey (above) has three years left at St Andrews on just over pounds 30,000 a week and will be offered a raise if he commits for an extra two years.
