Oregon- Nick Reed, junior defensive end, Trabuco Canyon, Calif. Reed, who came into the game leading the Pac-10 in tackles for loss, recorded career bests with 3.5 sacks and five total tackles for loss, among a team-high 11 total tackles. ReedOs pressure on WSU quarterback Alex Brink forced an intentional-grounding penalty that preceded a first-quarter interception, and he teamed with defensive tackle Cole Linehan to tackle Brink in the end zone for a safety.

Washington State- Michael Bumpus, senior wide receiver, Culver City, Calif. Bumpus caught five passes for 60 yards and WSU's only touchdown.

6 - Sacks of WSU quarterback Alex Brink by the Oregon defense.

0 - First downs by the Cougars in the second quarter.

213 - Net yards rushing for Oregon, vs. 63 for WSU

Reed's pressure forces penalty - With Oregon leading 7-0 in the first quarter, the Cougars reached first-and-goal at the UO 2, but WSU quarterback Alex Brink was called for intentional grounding while being sacked by UO defensive end Nick Reed for a loss of 17 yards. On the next play, Brink was intercepted by linebacker Jerome Boyd at the five, and the Ducks drove 69 yards in 10 plays for a field goal, and by the time WSU mounted another scoring threat, Oregon led 47-0.

"I could tell it wasn't just a little owie, and I was hoping and praying it was maybe just a one-game deal and we could get through this game without him. It's going to be tough. I know that's football, and that's this time of year, but we had two big blows today, and that's two tremendous athletes that we lost." - UO receivers coach Robin Pflugrad, on the loss of wide receiver Cameron Colvin and then running back Jeremiah Johnson to injury.

WR Cameron Colvin, fractured right ankle, out for season; RB Jeremiah Johnson, right knee injury, pending MRI; DB Willie Glasper, strained groin, probable for next week.

The Ducks (5-1, 2-1) visit Washington at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Husky Stadium. The game will be televised by FSN.
