Football: Villa in for Lange.

Byline: DUNCAN WRIGHT

ASTON VILLA boss David O'Leary is lining up a transfer-window swoop for Norwegian striker Rune Lange.

O'Leary believes the FC Bruges forward could help solve Villa's goal-scoring problems this season.

Recent big-money signings Peter Crouch and Bosko Balaban have flopped in the Premiership and the Midlands club are desperate to bring in some new talent in attack.

Lange, 26, scored twice in his Belgian club's Champions League campaign in which they failed to make the knockout stages.

Should Villa still be stuck in relegation danger by the time the transfer window opens in January, O'Leary is likely to get the pounds 2million needed to capture Lange.
