Football: United to land Jambo kid.

HEARTS teenager Daniel Galbraith could be on the move to Manchester United at the end of the season.

The 16-year-old midfielder has been tracked by Sir Alex Ferguson's side and has been down south to train with them.

A compensation package of pounds 50,000 is being discussed by the clubs but a deal has still to be reached.

Former Scotland schoolboy cap Galbraith has been brought through the Hearts ranks under the watchful eye of youth academy director John Murray.

Hearts No.2 John McGlynn insists that while the club are keen to keep the talented youngster they will not stand in his way of a dream move to Old Trafford.

McGlynn said: "Daniel is highly rated at Hearts and is a naturally-gifted attacking left-sided player with great pace.

"The clubs have to sort an agreement over compensation before the move goes through. Understandably the player is keen to go and who could blame him.

"It's not often a side like Manchester United come calling for your services.

"I guess in a way it is a back-handed compliment to Hearts and the work that John Murray is doing at the youth academy."
