Football: Turks are Dunne for by late Rich pickings.

SUB Richard Dunne scored an injury-time equaliser to deny Turkey a Morale boosting victory in a 2-2 draw at Lansdowne Road.

The Manchester City defender poked home after Ozgultekin - the third keeper the Turks had used in the game - had dropped a Stephen Carr corner.

Ireland had gone in ahead at half-time thanks toDavid Connolly's individual effort - the striker's first international goal for two years.

But that lead was cancelled out after 52 minutes when Ergun's cross was headed home at the near post by Hakan Sukur.

The Turks looked to have won it with four minutes left when Okan Vilmaz first timed another Ergun cross home before Dunne struck.
