RANGERS kid Tom Brighton last night revealed his harsh introduction to Scottish football - a kick from hero Ian Ferguson.

The 18-year-old was starting his playing career when he made his debut at Dunfermline on Sunday, as the nine in a row legend ended his.

And Brighton admitted: "Fergie enjoyed his day and he put a few hard tackles in on me early on, so I knew I was in for a game. Welcome to the SPL!

"I really enjoyed it, although the game was much faster than I was used to."
