Football: TAYLOR WANTS RID OF ALPAY.

ASTON VILLA v BOLTON, 3pm

GRAHAM TAYLOR is ``brassed off'' as he steps up his bid to offload transferlisted defender Alpay. The Aston Villa manag-er's patience has run out completely with the Turk-ish interna-tional, who asked for a move in August. He has played four games this season and is now getting the cold shoulder from his team-mates. Alpay might have been an asset, particularly with captain Steve Staunton recovering from a double hernia operation and Olof Mellberg (Achilles) and Ronny Johnsen ( ham-string) all struggling for fitness. Taylor said: ``I keep hearing that this club or that club is going t o be coming in for Alpay. I would say `For God's sake, please pick up the telephone and make a bid'.''
