Football: Swifts' Forker sticks the knife in; ARDS...................1 Watson 70 DUNGANNON.......3 Forker 27, 80, Shaw 40.

ARDS now look favourites for the relegation play-off position as they slipped to another home defeat.

It was not such a comfortable win for Joe McAree's flying Swifts as the score might suggest but any tales of tough luck or great commitments don't wash with Ard's boss Shane Reddish, who said: "Yes, we had all those things, had a goal disallowed and two blatant penalties denied but at the end of it all we still lost!

"We can still get out of this but only the players can do it for us."

After Ards had dominated the opening 20 minutes Conor Forker hit the Swift's opening goal with a mis-hit effort in the 27th minute.

Five minutes from the break it was 2-0 when Stephen Shaw ripped a fierce 12-yard shot high into the Ards net and the home side looked dead and buried.

Aidan Watson's shot 20 minutes from time gave Ards some hope of a comeback but that was dashed three minutes from the end when Forker knocked in his second and Dungannon's third goal.
