Football: Simon Brown.

Simon Brown scored twice as West Bromwich Albion beat Leeds United 2-0 for only their second away win of the season in the Premier Reserve League (North).

Albion dominated for long periods and could have won by a much larger margin.

Rob Hulse hit the bar and was also denied twice by Leeds goalkeeper Scott Carson.

Albion scored from the penalty spot after Brown had been tripped by Carson in the 34th minute.

Five minutes after half-time, Brown touched in a curling cross from Artim Sakiri.

Watching manager Albion Gary Megson was pleased to see Larus Sigurdsson play 30 minutes on his return from knee surgery four months ago.
