Football: Showdown over pay row.

MORTON midfielder Andy Brownrigg faces showdown talks today at Cappielow after an astonishing after-match bust-up with chairman Mike Peden.

The pounds 25,000 summer signing from Kidderminster Harriers claimed he has gone without wages for two months and demanded a meeting with Peden.

He was ushered out of the ground by police as he launched a fierce verbal attack on the Cappielow supremo.

And last night Brownrigg said: "I wasn't going to say anything with the Press standing around the tunnel but then I thought, 'B******* to it, I have not had any money and I want an explanation'.

"The last time I was paid was September 1st and it has been a nightmare situation."

He claimed partner Claire had walked out on him over the situation and says he has been inundated with final demands for bills.

Peden refused to discuss the affair with Brownrigg and the scene is set for an explosive meeting this morning.
