Football: Saul too much for Tarleton; CRAVEN MINOR AROUND THE LEAGUES.

Byline: MARK JONES

SAUL DALE hit two as Ormskirk WE earned an impressive 3-0 win over Tarleton Corinthians in the under-9s.

Dale's double, added to Joe Stanley strike, earned OWE an impressive win, while defences were on top in the under-l0s fixture between Rainford and Colts, which finished goalless.

Elsewhere in the un-der-l0s, a fine performance from goalkeeper Daniel Gardiner wasn't enough for Formby JSCB, who fell to a last minute goal, the only strike of the game, at Town Green Spartak.

In the under-11s, a thrilling game between Southport Juniors and Redgate Green ended 6-4 in Southport's favour with Jorge Jones and Dan Thompson both hitting doubles, and Arron Ken and Will Wilson also on target, but credit to Redgate, and in particular Dan Adobus, who hit a second half hat-trick to threaten an improbable comeback.

Town Green's under-lls were winners too, earning a 2-1 success at Trinity thanks to goals from Keir-on Turner and Connor Stock well.

Trinity struck through Max Regan, but otherwise couldn't find a way past the impressive Anthony Caunce in the Town Green goal.

Redgate Yellow battled back from both 2-0 and 3-2 down to eventually earn an impressive 4-3 win at Skem Rangers (Callum Owen 2, Jordan Maloney) in the under-14s, where Town Green beat Ainsdale 6-1 despite Ainsdale's Paul Simms finding the net.
