Football: STEFAN: I'D RATHER WIN THE LEAGUE.
STEFAN Klos last night admitted winning the SPL title is more important than qualifying for the next phase of the Champions League.
The German goalkeeper arrived in his homeland yesterday searching for the minor miracle that will keep alive Rangers hopes of Champions League survival alive.
Alex McLeish's men must beat Stuttgart in the Gottlieb Daimler Stadion this evening to have any realistic chance of making the knock-out stages of the competition.
Klos insists it won't be the end of the world if they have to fight Panathinaikos for a consolation spot in the UEFA Cup because there are crucial domestic matters to focus their mind for the rest of the campaign.
He said: "This year I'd prefer to win the championship than qualify for the second phase of the Champions League.
"It would be sensational to qualify as no Scottish team has dome that in the last decade.
"However, it is more important to win the title as that carries with it automatic qualification to the Champions League next season."
