Football: SCOTT ON FIRE FOR BINOS; Stirling Albion 3 Queen's Park 2.

SCOTT McLEAN'S double fired Stirling into the second round of the CIS Cup after the fire brigade had threatened to come to the visitors' rescue.

First-half goals from Martin Glancy - his first for the club - and McLean had Albion coasting. However, their passion was extinguished at half-time when Forthbank was evacuated after a fire scare.

It was a false alarm but alarm bells of a different kind were ringing for Stirling early in the second half when Frankie Carroll and Ross Clark scored to level. But McLean clinched it in 75 minutes with an 18-yard drive.

Stirling boss Allan Moore said: 'We weren't affected by the fire scare because wewere kept in the dressing room.

'We got a bit of a scare in the second half but guys like Scott are always likely to score.'
