Football: Rush may be Solution for Wales.
FORMER Liverpool striker Ian Rush is back in football as a non-executive director of League of Wales side Total Network Solutions.Rush, who was capped 73 times by Wales, has been appointed in an attempt to raise the profile and standard in the League of Wales.
He had been coaching strikers at Barnsley one day a week since leaving Wrexham's coaching staff at the end of last season.
Rush said: "The aim is to improve the League of Wales and eventually help the national team compete at an international level.
"My interest is to ensure we get the grass roots correct in the League of Wales."
