Football: Reinforced Tudno expecting test at Buckley.

LEADERS Llandudno are banking on having two key players back for today's test at defending champions Buckley Town.

Midfielder Lloyd Roberts, who missed last week's defeat to Guilsfield because of injury, and central defender Chris Johnson, out with a twisted knee, are both named in the squad.

Player-manager Grant Montgomery said: "We still have a seven-point lead, but other clubs have games in hand so there's no room for complacency.

"This will be our first meeting of the season with Buckley, who are always a strong side at their place, so it's going to be a real test. We definitely need something out of it."

Roberts and Darren Jones will be especially keen to get Llandudno back to winning ways at the expense of their old club, who have played four matches fewer.

Bala Town bid to make up ground on the leading pack as they host third placed Lex XI.

Midfielder Alec Stacey is back in the frame following holiday commitments, while Huw Price could also step back after an ankle problem.

Lex, who will be without the suspended Steve Roberts, will be out to revive their challenge after slipping into third spot with last weekend's 1-1 draw with Queens Park.

Penrhyncoch are gearing up for a testing few weeks, starting with today's trip to Queens Park. But they can take heart from last weekend's 5-2 win over Ruthin that helped ease their basement concerns.

The Cae Baker side have now won three of their last four outings, but joint boss Carwyn Jenkins warned: "We played well, but we're not getting carried away as we've got a tough period coming up."

There's a vital clash between Ruthin Town and visitors Gresford Athletic, as both sides battle to escape the lower reaches of the table.

Ruthin lie just two points above the Latics, who themselves can take heart from the fact their away form has been far better than their home form.
