Football: Rayo of sunshine.

SPANISH football has lost one of its most colourful characters in Doa Teresa Rivero who has quit as president of Rayo Vallecano after 12 years at the helm.

Teresa and her hubby, club owner Jos Mara Ruz Mateos, have fought off a court action from Rayos ex-president for misappropriation of funds.

Often spotted dozing off in the directors box, she was also prone to hurling abuse at opposing players while her potty old man once dressed as superman and threatened to punch the minister responsible for sequestrating his company Rumasa.
