Football: PENNANT BANNED.

Byline: BILL MILLS

ARSENAL manager Arsene Wenger will ban Jermaine Pennant from playing against the Gunners in next month's FA Cup-tie against Leeds.

Wenger has extended Pennant's loan spell at Elland Road for another month after allowing him to play in Leeds' 4-1 defeat to Arsenal in the Premiership last month.

Wenger said: "His loan has been extended for another month but I don't think I will let him play in the FA Cup as he would be Cup-tied and wouldn't be able to play for us if he came back."

The Arsenal boss will consider this week whether to extend defender Moritz Volz's loan spell at Fulham.
