A ROSS CLARK own goal was enough to claim the points as East Fife held on after missing two second-half penalties.

Fifers boss Jim Moffat wasn't pleased with the performance but insisted it was the three points that mattered.

He said: "It wasn't a pretty game but Queen's didn't finish in the top four last season for nothing.

"We weren't as aggressive or threatening as we have been recently." East Fife's lucky lead came on eight minutes when Clark turned in Gary Kelly's harmless low cross.

Craig Smart hit the post with the first penalty while David Crawford saved the second from John Martin.

Philosphical Queen's boss Billy Stark said: "We simply gifted it to them
