Football: No way for Jose; SCOTTISH CUP SPECIAL.
JAMBOS iron man Jose Goncalves last night declared himself fit to face Celtic.
But the Hearts defender's plea to play in the SPL crunch at Parkhead on Wednesday is set to fall on deaf ears.
The Portuguese Under-21 defender was knocked cold in a collision with Craig Gordon.
Goncalves had treatment behind the goal for 12 minutes before being carried off on a stretcher with his head in a protective casing.
He said: "I took the weight of Craig's shoulder and knee on the back of my head and lost consciousness for 20 seconds.
"But I'm okay for the Celtic match if the team need me.
Most docs suggest players with head injuries undergo at least a week of observation before playing again and Hearts' medical men are likely to play safe.
