Football: Legends join forces to kick-star jobs initiative.

A HOST of Liverpool and Ever-ton legends attended a special gala lunch at Liverpool town hall.

Former Reds such as Ian St John and John Barnes, together with ex-Blues like Peter Reid and Ian Snodin, turned out in force to raise awareness of a new project, Job Ready Liverpool, that helps unemployed youngsters find their vocation.

Business leaders from across the city were also invited to the Legends Lunch to get them on board with work experience placements, apprenticeships and job opportunities.

Reid said: "It's a fantastic initiative. An opportunity for businesses to help the city along and get young people employment and improve their chances for the future."
