Football: Leeds hot on Gregan trail.

LEEDS' bid to sign Albion's Sean Gregan is set to go into overdrive next week.

The Elland Road club have had to admit defeat in their bid to sign Stern John but Kevin Blackwell is desperate to land Albion's unsettled star.

Gregan has been frozen out of the first-team picture at The Hawthorns this season and would relish a move back to the north.

Jeremy Peace is now back from holiday in Jamaica and the clubs will be stepping up talks next week with a fee likely to be somewhere in the region of pounds 500,000.
