Football: Lambs' fury as 'big-time' Mills exits; NON-LEAGUE.

Byline: By Colin Stoner

TAMWORTH have angrily accused midfielder Gary Mills of thinking he is "bigger than the club" after cancelling his contract. Mills, a summer signing from Rushden & Diamonds, told the Lambs he wanted to leave, though he claimed he had no other club lined up.

But Tamworth's manager, and namesake, Gary Mills said it was "good riddance".

"Not only has he failed to perform, he has been a bad influence," he said.

"I do not want people like him at this club so it's good riddance. For a player not to give 100 per cent and then walk away thinking 'I am bigger than Tamworth' is a sad indictment. Nobody is bigger than the club."

Mills the player felt the move had not worked out and admitted he did not get on with the manager.
