WING wizard Mark Walters believes Peter Lovenkrands is the man to cure Rangers' Euro hangover.

Lovenkrands Ibrox career took off last season with five goals against Celtic, two of them in Gers Scottish Cup Final triumph over the old enemy.

Like Lovenkrands, Walters also had the happy knack of finding the net against Celtic and is looking for the Dane to strike again at Parkhead today.

He said: "Peter has nothing to fear against Celtic and goes there on top of his game," Walters said.

"Players get a feeling for games and if you've did well in the past against a side you go out expecting things to happen for you.

"His pace is devastating and Rangers know exactly how to make the best of that. Old Firm games are totally different to anything else but Peter showed last season how to handle them.

"There's no real answer to his pace and Rangers will be looking to use that at every opportunity."

It's three years since Rangers last won at Parkhead- the infamous shame game in 1999 that saw Hugh Dallas struck by a coin.

But last season's cup victories over Celtic gave Rangers back their self belief and three points today would send their confidence sky high.

Walters added: "Teams can have an Indian sign over each other but once you knock that down it can be the catalyst for years to come.

"Alex McLeish certainly doesn't have an inferiority complex and has brought back the confidence and self belief that was needed."
